Does the mobile phlebotomy tracker support route optimization?
Yes. LIMS IQ pairs each phlebotomist's daily queue with the dispatcher in the LIS for route assignment. Collectors see stops by client, site, date, and status, with patient addresses and one-tap map navigation. Dispatch sees collection status in real time, and collectors can also self-assign stops.

What happens when the mobile app loses connectivity?
The mobile app supports low-connectivity collection work. Collectors can capture the registration, specimen, and custody information needed for the draw while offline, and the app syncs those records to LIMS IQ when it is online again.

Can phlebotomists print barcoded labels in the field?
Yes. Phlebotomists scan the patient's confirmation barcode or search by confirmation number or ID, verify demographics, and review the requisition. They can then scan specimen barcodes with automatic duplicate checks, record collection date and source, and print labels and requisition forms on site.

How is custody transferred when specimens reach the lab?
Collectors log custody events from collection through lab receipt in real time. Because the mobile app connects to the same LIS, the lab receives the collection record, specimen details, and custody history in the operational workflow used for accessioning and tracking.

What happens when a collector cannot complete a draw?
The collector records a predefined unable-to-collect reason in the mobile queue. From there, the stop can be rescheduled or sent back to the dispatcher, so the exception remains visible instead of disappearing from the day's collection work.
