Patient-result reviewers can open the QC results associated with a testing run, and batch review visibly alerts them when that run contains failed or non-passing QC. Affected samples can be placed on hold to block completion while the lab investigates. Whether to repeat, recalibrate, hold, or release remains governed by the laboratory's SOPs.

Pending QC results can be marked reviewed individually or in batches, with the reviewer and date recorded. After examining a Levey-Jennings chart for a selected period, a reviewer can approve it and archive the resulting PDF with its analyte, instrument, control lot, and date range for later inspection review.
